When you run a prescreen or apply, we collect your contact details, household information (adults, pets, animals), income and housing assistance information, rental history including landlord contacts, the credit range you report, the eviction and criminal history questions you answer, and any documents you choose to upload such as an ID, pay stub or voucher letter.
To decide whether a home is a good fit, to verify what you have told us, to book a tour, and to keep you updated on your application by email. We only contact the landlords and employers you list if you move forward, and your current landlord only as the last step.
SPFI Property Management. If you move to the formal application, our screening provider (Buildium) collects its own application and runs the credit, criminal and eviction background check under the Fair Credit Reporting Act; if that report leads to a decline you receive an adverse action notice with the provider's contact details so you can dispute it. Tour bookings run through Calendly. Your application status page is private to the link in your email; do not forward it.
While your application is open, and for 12 months after it closes, so we can answer fair housing questions and keep our records consistent. After that the prescreen and any uploaded documents are deleted. You can email us any time to ask us to delete your information sooner.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
